Wise Women Supervision Wise Women Supervision is a unique supervision group beginning January 8, 2024. Three experienced
therapists, who have been in private practice for decades and work with individuals and couples, are
offering supervision and support for therapists. Each month a therapist will take the lead in clinical
group supervision, meeting three weeks each month to provide a rich and diverse experience. The cost
will be $300 a month and run for 3 months. We will be meeting in person in West Seattle. If interested,

Kim Buehlman, M.A. LMHC
[email protected] or 206-734-8535: Kim is a Certified Relational Life Therapist with over 25 years’ experience in private practice. Prior to
this she worked for the University of Washington, Seattle Children’s Home, Center for Human Services
and Seattle Public Schools. She taught parenting classes in Seattle for over 15 years and worked to help
Early Head Start teachers and parents meet the emotional needs of young children. Kim has been
trained in EMDR, Lifespan Integration and CIMBS. These “brain therapies” work on the body-mind
connection to help clients heal from past traumas and places where they are stuck. Her current focus is
with couples and individuals who seek strategies to manage their anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD and
life challenges. Kim has supervised recent graduates from Seattle University as well as, providing
reflective supervision when training other professionals in attachment and Promoting First
Relationships.
Sandra Simpson, M.S. LMHC
[email protected] or 206-762-2541 : Sandra has been in private practice for over 30 years working with adult individuals and couples. She is
located in West Seattle and sees clients in person as well as on-line. Prior to opening her office Sandra
co-directed a home for unmarried moms before abortion was legal in Washington. She taught prenatal
yoga, lamas and opened a “big sister” program for supportive social interaction. Sandra was a Hospice
Volunteer in Eastern Washington for 8 years before teaching incoming volunteers. In the early 80’s she
served a role in outpatient treatment for eating disordered young adults. In the 90’s she provided
psychiatric evaluations for the Mental Health Court in King County. Sandra’s current focus continues to
be working with adults with anxiety and depression as well as couples with relational challenges. Her
specialty focus is with grief, trauma, and PTSD. She has extensive training and experience in nutritional
influences on behavioral wellness. Personally, she is a single mom with four adult children and ten
grandchildren. Her hobbies include travel, encaustic painting, yoga and gardening. Family and friends
are her joy.
Doris Vanderhyde, MSW, LICSW
[email protected] or 206-683-2742: Doris is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Certified EMDR therapist with almost 30
years of experience in the field and 20 years in private practice. Doris worked with children, adults and
families in the community mental health for the first 10 years of her career and then as a part-time
medical social worker at Seattle Children’s Hospital for 4 years while starting her private practice with
adults and couples. She has a Masters of Social Work degree from New York University in clinical
practice; poste graduate training in Family and Couples Therapy and completed EMDR Basic Training
levels 1 and 2 in 2011 and has been a Certified EMDR therapist since 2014. Last year Doris became a
Certified Yoga Teacher and uses her teaching as another modality to help people become more aware of
their body, where emotions are stored and how to move stuck emotions through the body. Doris works
with adults and couples and specializes in: trauma, PTSD, dissociative disorder, anxiety, depression,
grief, relationship and intimacy issues, chronic medical illness and mind/body connection as it relates to
emotional well-being. She has been doing clinical supervision since 1998.
